Default 940 instrument cluster wanted

Hi, 940 non turbo Yazaki instrument cluster wanted for 1992 car.
My speedo fried. I changed the capacitors as per the forum link but it's still not working. Thanks Ken.

Ah yes I've been having some trouble with this myself.

I have had a set of 129k mile 1991 gauges repaired too and they worked for a few minutes then the problem came back. I have fitted a speedo on 329k miles from a 1992 car and it works perfectly even though I can see there is an awful lot of corrosion and dodgy capacitors. I told the customer and he said "if it isn't broken don't fix it" so he has been warned that it is a ticking time bomb.

There is a company in America that repairs them but they want £250 to do so, they can be found on ebay.

Hi. I’m still willing to ...
1, pay someone to try n fix mine. Full details of my failures so far can be found by searching my user name, siadow.
2, fit an alternative gps Speedo into space left by my Speedo, if anyone has ever tried that before?

Still looking, one from a 740 I think might work if anybody has one.

Thans Ken.

I don't think there were any 1992 740s - maybe a few late registrations but that wouldn't be a MY92 so would probably have the wrong speedo.

Have a look there, make sure the speedo is in mph and not kmh as there are some other international sellers besides USA sellers!

During their long production run 700 Series were fitted at times with Yazaki clusters (in the 700 Series style) so maybe there is a possibility of finding one that works that could be swapped into a 940 style cluster. In fact I have one such animal somewhere in my garage but whether it works I certainly don't know! Of course, later 760's had the 900 Series style cluster so there's also a possibility.
