When the question of locking nuts came up in the past I did coincidentally hear of an OAP in the wilds of East Anglia having the wheels of his KIA Ceed stolen, my thoughts were it proves how odd they are in East Anglia When I weighed in a couple of bent Volvo alloys I got about £4 each for them - not worth the time and petrol to take them in let alone go nicking them back in the day when alloys were an exotic rarity locking nuts were worth it, now they seem more trouble than they're worth for standard alloys.

You're probably fine unless you're in Liverpool!

If "probably" doesn't work out and you have them stolen you realise it would cost around £5000 for a set of new wheels and tyres these days ? More on some of the top 20" models .There have been no problems with the current Type of locking wheel bolts since they were introduced 11 years ago ...
