Default Driving to Spain

If possible I plan to drive to Spain this year with my wife, can anyone tell me if I have an obligation to inform the lease company? I have already informed my insurance company who are sending me out a green card but want to be doing the right thing here. Thx

Only one thing can tell you - the contract you signed, and/or the lease company themselves. These may vary between companies/contracts.

You may get opinions on here, but don't think I'd rely on them....the contract in your hands is king!

For what it's worth, I don't think my lease prevents me taking it abroad, but I'd check....

If it is leased you won't have a V5, but you will need one or the equivalent for travel into Spain.

You will therefore need to contact the lease company to get their permission and the appropriate document. I can't remember what the official name for the form is, but essentially it is the official V5 equivalent for the driver of a leased car.
