Sorry, but that's just a poor botch job. I don't think super glue will last too long.

Keep an eye on it 'cos they don't last long...are we talking about a cv joint gaiter or steering rack gaiter...
If cv then a stretch boot is easy to fit, if steering rack that's even easier...

Default Steering Rack Gaitor

My replacement Steering rack gaitor has lasted 2 years and still got me through 2 MOTs. Unlike the CV boot where the split CV boot doesnt last all that long.
Pity one cannot buy a split Steering rack Gaitor boot.

Basically I bought a replacement boot cut down the middle wrap around the rack. Glue it and cable tie both ends. Use a good Glue. Perfect
