I'd put money on a faulty alarm module. My son had this problem on his 2010 S60. Simple replacing it solved problem. Alarm modules are a known issue and will all fail at some point. The problem is the ageing alarm tries to recharge its internal batteries causing the drain on the main system . First try unplugging the alarm and check to see if drain stops before buying a new one.
The alarm can occasionally go off or false alarm on some cars but not always. Your car is the right sort of age for this fault. Ps alarm module is in nearside wheel arch behind the wheel cover near top suspension mount.
