Default To the owner of the grey V70R in East Leake...

Definitely a long shot, but if you're on here shout up!

Rolled into a car park to check my text messages, looked up and spotted another R for the first time ever. Couldn't resist the temptation to park up and take a photo.

Theirs was a lot nicer! (mine is on the left looking sorry)

I often visit E.L. too, 'Ripmax', and although I have seen this car around as well, I'm afraid that I don't know the owner. The car is memorable on account of it's '86/'87 registration, as well being a very nicely turned out example.

A word of friendly advice, if I may? It is considered by some as not being appropriate to quote registration numbers, or to post pictures of others' cars, without their consent, just in case they should be somewhere that they would rather not advertise!

Regards, John.

Ah damn it. I had two versions of the photo, one where I blanked out the reg. My bad, I uploaded the wrong one and didn't realise!! I've updated the post but unfortunately cannot hide the edit history.

Update: Have PM'd a mod asking to remove them.

Both are R's. One has a sunroof and the other doesn't.

I was too excited to care about parking properly

They both look superb. I used to have a 9-5 Aero Estate with a few carefully chosen mods - I thoroughly miss the speed. The D5's a lovely engine, whilst I've got about the same amount of torque as the Saab had, I'm around 130bhp shy.

Be interesting to know how many VR's there are, I've looked on how many left and it reckons just over 60 that are taxed. I'm a titanium grey VR owner
