Smile idea

does it just back off part of the way, or come right back down?,

there is a way to get it to reset by removing the dash end fuse, but you have to follow an exact sequence.. otherwise it doesnt work.. i have had this happen on my s60 many times, seems to be brought on by going over a big bump while the window is going upwards... well thats my theory anyway..

Mine too, just recently started with this exact issue, i find repressing the up button just as it reaches the top will close it ok. I cannot remember the sequence so will keep an eye on this thread

Similar on my 2006 Ocean Race but driver window. I hold the button until window closes. Pause- let go, stays put! Worth a try.

Smile how to reset, and clear the auto back off

Try this.. first find the appropriate fuse for passenger or drivers door on the drivers end of the dash side panel, you shoild have a fuse puller somewhere in there or use some lng nosed pliers,

1- ign switch to II pos & get ready to pull that fuse, not yet tho ..
2- auto up the window, just as it reaches the top, pull the fuse
3- ign off, wait 30secs, refit fuse

4- ign on, use switch to drive window down (the auto wont work ),, when at the limit
hold switch for a few secs, then drive it up , hold again
repeat 4 one more time , i think after 2 cycles (it might be more) youll find the auto
does work and stops at limit.. fixed (hopefully...)

try it and let me know if it works 4u..
