For Sale: 2005 S40 S 1.8, Somerset

Hi all,

Selling my red 2005 S40 1.8 in S trim with 5 speed manual. Only had it since Feb but for slightly convoluted reasons involving my wife needing a more economical car to commute in when I’m WFH, it’s up for sale.

127,000 miles, 2 keys.

It has Full Service History, at Bridgend Volvo Specialists until 2016, then Ablefit in Bristol. It was last serviced in Oct 20 before I got it.

I replaced the thermostat with a Borg & Beck one when I first got it as it was stuck open. The rearmost exhaust hanger has snapped, I have attached it with a coat hanger for now, it is secure but occasionally makes a noise. There is also a slight vibration noise at the very upper rpms in the lower gears, could be a mount but I don’t tend to explore those revs often so it has never bothered me.

MOT until 01 Sep 21.

Factory Volvo towbar with 2 keys.

Haynes manual included.
