is it this by any chance? https://www.volvopartswebstore.com/p.../30744318.html

I have Nebulas on my T5 and on the drivers side its starting to chew through the arch liner - there is no protection plate to be seen.
try replaceing the steering stops they do wear over time there are 3 different sizes make sure you get the ones that match the size of your rims .

I have 225 40 tyres, I think they are only rubbing on full lock and when the suspension is down. I have a 54 plate D5 sport, dont know if this makes any difference in terms of suspensions height?

What do I need to solve the problem, wheel spacers or stop locks? Want to know before I go to my local Volvo garage and they try and rip me off. Wheres the best place to get them from? I dont have the rubbing plates by the way. also if this is a known design fault, does volvo offer any sort of free modification?

Cheers

James
Did you ever sort this rubbing? My tyres on the standard 17” alloy have just started rubbing on full lock, so perhaps I should look at the lock stops?

Default New Steering Limiters

Just bought a new pair of Steering Limiters and appears an easy fix from this SiRob guy on YouTube (Need to send a pint of two his way):

Pretty sure this will fix my issue.

Default Get the Right Replacement - Live & Learn

OK, so the part arrived and I've clearly ordered the wrong one (in Blue). You can see the wear on only one side of the existing (black) steering limiter.

Default Swapped the Steering Limiters between OSF & NSF

Swapped the Steering Limiters between OSF & NSF (Obvs both front ), to use the un-worn side of the rubber. Should be good for another 90,000 miles
