Default ABS / Traction Control Fault

Hi after some help.

I purchased a 1998 V70 2.5tdi last week knowing it had an ABS fault. I was assured that it was the control module and a second hand replacement was included in the car. I fitted this today and the fault still sadly remains.

While studying though its comprehensive history I found it’s had a problem with the ABS for nearly a year and the previous owner has spent a bit of money trying to rectify it.

I also learned that the unit that I took out had been refurbished last year by Actronics. Upon navigating to their website the part number off both units link back to an XC70 and doesn’t show up on the V70 list. Firstly is it possible a wrong unit was shipped back from refurbishment? And if so what would the correct part number for my car be?

The part number I have currently is 9472650 10.0949-0402.3.

Many thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer.

Hi Bean.

First off this is in the wrong section im sure a mod will move it to the right one soon.

Second - have you got the fault codes from the obd in the armrest? i have a S70 that had toasted its abs module and wiring and took me ages to find the 'Correct' module to replace it with.

I have a 98 V70 Donor sat on the drive ill get the abs module off the pump unit and check the past number as there are a few different ones depending if you have Tracs AWD and other stuff.

Edit:

Also can you get photos of the module to confirm.
