Hiccup
Have a 09 S80 1.6drivE,this has probably already been covered but here goes, pulls away ok, only just ok, though not sure how much better it should be not had it long and always been like that, drives fine but mainly below 2000 revs when you try maintaining speed I get what I can only describe as hiccups, for a second no power until I accelerate again, just replaced fuel filter, cleaned MAF sensor, no tar around injectors and cannot hear any chuffing from them. Any suggestions as to where to start.

To test the egr is it possible to go for drive once warmed up doing issue then simply unplug electrical terminal to egr and go for another drive, if problem no longer present is it safe to assume the egr IS the problem?

Got access to a vida/dice unit? You could probably get the EGR to cycle from closed to open and see if the unit reacts. Else, I would be getting the injectors checked. |

You need VIDA diagnostics for a Volvo, which will indicate more of what the problem could be and how to fix it. A dealership or Volvo specialist will have the correct equipment. Never base a diagnosis off generic codes, especially not off something that probably cost less than £40. Bring it to a Volvo specialist... they'll know what to do.

Just realised I said I had a new throttle body, I didn't. I had a new accelerator pedal. Thinking of replacing the throttle body but for £330 just for the part I want to make sure it's worth doing first?
