Default Diy autobox change

Anyone got an auto box fluid change diy. And would I gain access without ramp?

Unless you have a pit, the car really needs to be raised up. Check back thru' some of my recent posts to find out how to change the fluid. You'll be surprised how easy it is to do.

It looks like you have a more modern car than I'm referring to. What exactly do you have?

I think that you are blazing a new trail on here as the membership of this forum are generally driving cars that are within warranty and having them serviced by either Volvo or a Volvo specialist. Servicing is not something has been discussed very much, and certainly not on the gearbox which is theoretically sealed for life ( I think).

Make sure you come back and tell everyone how you get on as it will help build the body of knowledge.

It can be done with car on stands but really need car level so poss 4 stands,

its not a 2 minute job and you will need 14 litres of gearbox oil to do it right and some way of knowing how warm the gearbox oil is while your doing it,

Also a pair of oil cooler pipe oil seals might not hurt either, where plastic pipe fits to gearbox,
