Default Twin HS6's

Hi
I have changed the single Stromberg carb on my 69 Amazon in favour of twin HS6's, also using K&N filters. With the Stromberg/stock airfilter, a breather vent pipe from the oil filler cap on the rocker cover connected to the underside of the airfilter assembly.
Obviously the K&N filters do not have any connection. If I were to fix a connecting tube to the underside of one of these filters to take the hose, would that be suitable?
The crankcase breather hose is OK as there is a connection on the inlet manifold.
Regards
Brian

I have the same problem in that I have fitted two K&N filters to my '69 1800S which originally had one big filter for both carbs, with an attachment for the breather pipe. I have simply routed an extended pipe down the side of the engine (probably illegal for some emission reasons) and will fit an oil filler cap from an early amazon/1800 when I come across one, as these have no pipe coming out, they vent to the atmosphere from around the sides of the cap.

If you are struggling to find an early breathing cap use the lid off silver top 240. You can put a gauze in and it will breath fine.
