Unhappy C70 window problem Help!!!!!!!!!!!

I am having a problem with my drivers side window on my C70.
When I open the drivers door the window drops down about 1/2" like it should, but when I close the door it stays in that dropped position, and the only way to put it back up to the top is by using the switch.
This means that in this bad rainy weather I have climb out of the car through the passenger side to prevent getting in to a car with a wet seat in the mornings.
Can any one suggest what has gone wrong, I did have the car battery run flat due to leaving the lights on which set the alarm off, but after jump starting the car the 'Alarm requires service' went away after the car had stood all night.
Thanks
Dave

Hi Dave you can try this fix that I have used in various makes to reset the windows lower all the windows then raise all the windows at the same time &hold the switches for a few seconds it has worked for me in the past

Have you tried holding the lock button on the remote to see if that closes the window

You can set window position in Vida with a Dice.
