Hello,
Been reading the boards for a while as I had a real problem with my electrics, neither the Fog light or the front sidelights would work. My car is a 1999 V40 2.0 Auto. I tried everything and had panels off all over the place looking for the issue. So I sat in my car with it running and thought I'd play around with the switches to see if anything else didn't work. Everything electrical worked so I was pretty impressed with a 14 year old car, as I pressed the heated seat switch the LED under the light switch came on. I got out of the car and checked the lights, the sidelights were glowing like there was never a problem. I then turned the light switch to position 2 and hit the fog light switch, on came the fog light. I have never been so perplexed in my life. I've been tinkering with cars for a while and I know electrics can be odd but this is bizarre. I checked the Haynes wiring diagrams and can see no link to the heated seat circuit and the fog, front sidelight circuit. Can anyone here explain what might have been happening with my car?
