Amy issues with gearbox? Any oil leaks? Not looking for perfection at that price but by god I've seen some rough cheap xc90s.

Edit. Not suggesting yours is rough, just looking for some extra info!!

Thanks for your interest

No issues with the gearbox. I had a gearbox oil change when I bought the car at 142k miles in 2014 and it’s served me well.

For openness I’ll list out the negatives, some that wouldn’t be obvious on a test drive:

- Parking sensors can be intermittent, I assume there’s a loose connection somewhere.

- Bluetooth can be intermittent also. This is a Nokia aftermarket addition.

- The Offside Front wheel has a slow leak. I think this is a bit of corrosion on the alloy. It’s done it with the last 3 tyres. I would need air every 6-8 weeks so I never bothered to get it refurbished. Recently it has become more frequent.

- The alarm siren has stopped working

- It has had a slow coolant leak since I bought it. My Indy Volvo garage traced it back to a Y piece in the coolant pipe. The replacement is only a few £ but they said they’d need the gearbox out to repair it and convinced me to leave it and monitor. I’ve 7 years I’ve probably topped up coolant once per month. If it ever got worse I was going to try get some high temp metal putty on the joint but it never got worse.

- the body work is in the condition I’d expect for its age and mileage. There’s a couple of scratches and stone chips and a relatively minor scrape on the OSR arch where my wife misjudged the garage door.

I’ve tried to price it about £400 lower than equivalents I’ve found on autotrader. I’ve bought another XC90 and only have this insured until the end of Oct so I’ll be listing elsewhere later in the week if I don’t get much interest on here.

Thanks for looking.

Sorry, I forgot to answer you regarding oil leaks. No its never had a leak, it lives in our garage and there's never been a spec of oil on the floor. It also has never needed an oil top-up, unlike my diesel Golf

Hi it was done on 27th October 2010 at 95,491 miles so it is almost due again based on 10 years or 108k miles.

The aux belt and tensioner with pulley and idler guide was done in 2014.
