Question Parking sensors

Has anyone fitted a parking sensor to an older vehicle?

My good lady is not very big and has a lot of trouble when backing the 940 into a parking bay. I've lost count of the number of towball covers I've had to replace.

Basically are any of these after-market sensor kits any good and are they easyto fit?

Thanks in advance,
Dave.

Default Re sensors

I have them fitted now on my 850 (after crash) they are the ones that fit in the bumper. I believe they just tap into the reversing lights and when you select reverse they come to life...

I have seen some on ebay and my neighbour has fitted some to his Ford with no problems, took him about 3 hrs..

Regards

Iain

I work for a company that sells them along with camera systems, although I don't have any on my 240, some of our company cars have them and they do help. We also sell one that doesn't react to things fitted to the car like towbars etc.

There are two main fitting types, ones for plastic or metal bumpers, make sure you get the right kind as the sensors for metal bumpers are designed not to be confused by their metal surroundings.

I'm not in sales by the way, and can't say if ours are better than anybody elses.
