Default Side Steps

Anyone got these? or got any comments, I know there have been several sidestep threads. I could stomach £300 for a set, but struggle with £500-600+ that some have quoted.

They look reasonable to me. Not sure where they get the brushed stainless steel finish comments from.
I thought they were all silver metallic powder coat on alluminium brackets and bars ?

But depending what sort of wear you think they'll get - looks like the real thing.. pays your money ...

Cheers
Ian.

They are not original. If you read carefully it says, "OEM STYLE"

Appreciated that...but for what they are - £300 seems reasonable.

Agreed, you maybe get what you pay for

Hmm - maybe I should invest in a spare set just for show and keep a set for off roading and not worry about the scratches ? Tempting...

I've seen at least 2 genuine (used) sets on Ebay today, one set is at £150 and one at £300 currently

Got mine a couple of years ago after spotting an ad on ebay. From a Volvo dealership - Stratstone (Nottingham I think?). Original genuine and new product, with rubber treads. I got the steps, treads, delivery and had installed by local independent on the industrial estate I worked at, all for £375 give or take a couple of pennies.

Fantastic addition - especially with a little one trying to climb into the car, and great to clean the roof/scrape the windscreen! Would definitely recommend the rubbers on to make them non-slip.

I've got those exact steps, and they look great, work great.

I think I paid £429 for them or £379 about 5 months ago. They are heavy oem or not and its not a super simple diy job, it will need 2 people to support and a good safe jack.
I used a back street garage to pop mine on with me helping took about 40mins and cost £20. I actually did a pictured thread on this if you can be bothered to search.

The only downside to them is the double sided tape isn't that good for the rubber grips.

I've actually now removed mine till I get some good glue instead of the tape.

So to round up, yes they are not oem and possibly not as sharp in the detail but they are very good for the money.
