Volvo 440 1.8is
OK, long advert time so please bear with me...
This car has been in my family since it rolled off the factory line back in 1996. My wifes grandfather bought the car new at the age of 68 years of age, and had the car for 14 years, racking up only 70k miles. It eventually became a case of his eyesight deterioting to the point where he couldn't drive and I needed a car to fill a gap and so I flew down south and picked it up. Having never seen the car before I was amazed at the condition of it, it was like brand new...the interior was spotless, the exterior like new and the alloys did not have a blemish on them. The underneath was mint as it had been dry stored for its life. There is no rust whatsoever on the car. The only thing wrong with it was it needed a new backbox and battery, which I did straight away. I have ran the car without issue now since last year but need a van so its time to get rid. The car has developed a couple of minor issues since I picked it up, these are: 1. Nearside front wheel bearing is on the way out, this is getting done this week. 2. Centre section of exhaust is loose/blowing, I would do it myself and I may do if I find the time. 3. Bulbs behind the blower dials have gone. 4. Parcel shelf arms have snapped off, also the parcel shelf has a sun blind on it and its missing a clip. Thats it, to a volvo enthusiast and someone with mechanical knowledge it can be immaculate again in no time. Plus points: MOT until end of July. 6 months tax. 4 good tyres and a spare. Original jack etc all untouched. Volvo cool box in boot. Original volvo plastic mats. Original roof rack and can throw in 2 x thule cycle carriers for an extra £80 (worth over £200) Original volco headunit and electric aerial. Aircon works great. Alarm and immobiliser (immobiliser light not working) plus 2 keys and fobs. Heated seats work great. All electrics function fine and the car has a new battery on. Overall the car is in exceptional condition for the age and in my opinion its in better condition than cars half its age. Its rust free, good paintwork, solid engine and only 75k on the clock so tonnes of life in it. In a struggling economy its a great little car for the money. All I am after for it, is £525 OVNO Its currently on a private family plate which will be lifted this week. I'm just about to go and wash it and get some pics up. Any questions, call me on 07429483005 or PM me... Cheers Craig |
