Default S60 Courtesy car D5 205hp...very nice.

Had a 2011 S60 D5 (205hp) car whilst my V70 2009 2.0d R-Design was in for a minor warranty item. I was super impressed with the d5 engine and would quite like to have that engine in my V70.

I'm very happy with the 2.0d unit, and it pulls my V70 along quite nicely, but brisk acceleration in the S60 was like going into hyperspace and it made a nice sound along with it! Over the 80 miles I had it the computer showed an average of 45mpg....very happy with that, although probably reads about 2 mpg over like my V70 does.

Liked the S60 as well (SE Lux), but found the radio a bit fiddly and the screen and controls a bit distracting as they could do with being a bit higher up on the dash. Apart from that I couldn't fault it, but I think the V60 looks a bit nicer and more practical, especially in R-design trim.

Think my next Volvo will have to be a 5-cylinder....

Cheers,

Richard

I had a '62 plate 215bhp XC70 D5 SE LUX courtesy car a few months ago and you've just echo'd my thoughts about the engine in that too, very impressed.
