  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

But have some others have said, it could be a straightforward job, to just weld up those cuts, unless the cut goes through to the topside of the pipes, then it may need to be removed to get to it, to weld it ?
It is far from worn out , Its the very best quality and still working 100% that's why its targeted ... It is stainless steel too so don't worry about the exhaust system failing ... an easy job as said above but get them to use S/S rod or the weld will rust and fail first due to rust.

have a think about fitting some kind of thick steel cover under with plenty of bolts it so they cant see it .

Any idea of cat covers that I could buy easily & ask them to fit?

No I don't think such a thing exists for Volvos but any general garage should be able to make something up from a sheet of steel or strips of steel strategically placed .
