Volvo 240 GLT Estate for sale

1988 Black GLT 131000 miles

Owned by me since since Oct 2010 now for sale because of failing eyesight which means I won't be driving her again. Last seen in the club at BKV three years ago and the Harlow events, she has also attended Ipswich area meetings. And I want her to go to a club member.

Last on the road end of 2013 since laid up at home. Upgrades in my ownership are a 7 seat conversion – not fitted but available and a Volvo dog guard – the dog has been in the car only three times so not chewed or doggy at all. She will need a new fuel filler flap because I didn't see the gate post on the way out (pictured).

This 240 is special because over £5500 has been spent on it since 2007 and it's a black GLT with full leather. I have receipts and history and some of the work done includes: Bonnet hinges, servicing, Exhaust, Lower half respray, full clutch including pedal, New headlamps sidelamps and rear clusters, fuel pump Front discs and pads rear bushes and four wheel alignment.

She is not on the road and will need to be trailered home if you buy her. When I last started her there was noise from the fuse box and no start (pictured) so some attention to wiring and preparation for the road will be required.

First £1000 secures the car. Message me on here with your number so I know you are a club member and I will call you back. Thanks, Martin.

Car is located near Ipswich Suffolk.

I'm not surprised that didn't hang around. It looks like a cracker.

"When I last started her there was noise from the fuse box and no start (pictured) so some attention to wiring and preparation for the road will be required."

Fixed by replacing the fuse which had dropped out, see bottom left of fuse box picture. Noise may have been the loose fuse shorting out the bottom two?

Nice car, treat it well.

I had the car before Martin so I'm really pleased it is still living on in club ownership. She's a strong car and I'm sure you'll get plenty of life from her.

That said, sorry to hear about your eyesight Martin
