Default Sunroof seal

I've just noticed a gap in the sunroof seal. I thought it was a missing 'bit' but the other side looks like it just joins. It's almost as if it's shrunk!

Also, one corner has a bit of a gap - will any water that gets in be drained, or do I need a new seal?

Not very good for 16k miles.....

edit - any idea why the IMGs aren't showing - added links instead?

It's quite usual for there to be gaps like that. My car has had them for years and never leaked into the cabin. Any water that does enter is taken away via drain points and tubing to underneath the car.

The only problem that can arise is if the drains become blocked.

There is another long thread on this subject
I had this problem and reported it at my last service in October
The dealer replaced the seal under warranty

Ah. Mine's out of warranty. Probably been like it for ages. I'll mention it next time I'm in without much hope

New seal is about £100 and can be replaced with the glass in place. It shrinks with time on all cars.

Just the part for a DIY job. I think VIDA calls for the glass to be removed before re/fitting which will make the labour go into the 100s

The cost on my paperwork although carried out under warranty was. - £380
They quoted that the sunroof cassette would need removed but I am not sure they actually did that
There was no evidence of it being removed

Hello all, I am new to the forum and the Volvo brand at all. Recently bought an XC90 r design 2017, Had a few issues with it at the beginning. One of them is the same gap of the panoramic roof seal as in the pic from the first post. Can someone advise what is the part number as am sick of dealing with the treader and gonna replace it myself?
Thanks
