Newark is like a bit far North for me, seeing as I'm coming from Norfolk, but I'll try and pick up at the A1/A606 junction for the last few miles, unless there's anyone else coming UP the A1 from a southerly direction?

One less for the convoy :(
It looks like I'll be in the ArkRoyal this time - the insurance cover note won't be here in time so I can't tax the newbie Probably a good thing actually - it'll give me time to check her over and service her before taking her out for a run.
Not sure what time we'll make it at Rutland afterall - decided 05:00 is too early a start on a Sunday! We'll probably roll up at 10:00ish in the end. Easy to spot - a grey 945 with shotgun exhaust, one welsh flag and one english flag Hope to see you all there!

As an idea and a way to make a bit more of a statement, How about rolling into the bkv at about 10 -10:30 rather than 9. Gives people a bit of a better start time, can have a natter before the convoy and having 10-20 modified cars rolling into together will make people stand back and say wow.
just an idea.

Hi, not such a good idea as there will be so many cars arriving and we will have to wait a long time to get into the event, plus the judging starts at 11ish so people will have no time to prepare their cars!

I get the feeling someone was less than polite about your car last year, is it the old original spec vs modified car argument?

Its the beardies vs young people argument as ever, they think we are the devil or something for wanting to change a volvo from standard.... Young and not perfect car, actualy USE my car = ignored by the voc forever.

Please come along on Sunday
Griz, bring your car and it'll be looked at, if your car is overlooked and there are any issues at all I want to know about it! I have been asked to judge this year and if anybody is made unwelcome I want to know about it! please come along. You and your car and everybody else in our community should go to the BKV as then people can see our cars and our enthusiasm! There is a specific modified class in the event that non-standard cars can be entered, hope to see you on Sunday! You know my stance on modifying cars!
