This is an interesting thread as Mrs JB's C70 needs resolving. Has the Dynaudio, aux in sicket in centre armrest, the integrated nav screen, and a sim card reader in the glovebox - which I guess is useless seeing as no network will do cloned sim cards.

I'm using a top up SIM card in, and when I'm driving I'm setting on my mobile a call divertion to this number, it's saved in my iPhone settings so it's basically a matter of switching it on/off

OH does this with the old school built in phone on her V70. Has a handset with an curly cord in the central box, which the kids love using.

I just installed the HIMBOX from Amazon, same as the eBay version linked earlier but i needed it for this weekend for a long drive so paid the extra few quid for one.

Used the rear seats lighter for power, feed the lead through to AUX and actually left the whole thing inside the compartment as I have a Brodit phone mount on the dash. So the whole thing is hidden away, it pairs automatically when I get in anyway.

I have a question about this and an update too....

Where is this 12v socket on the back of the armrest? Because I can't see one!

The car is a C70 D5 SE Lux and there is a 12v socket in the centre console but I can't see a rear socket?

I have bought a Brodit clip mount for the centre right vent and a Brodit iPhone 6 phone holder. That resolves the mounting of the phone nicely.

I have also bought a Bluetooth device that sits inside the larger storage area under the armrest, plugging directly into the AUX socket. That has given her streaming music and she's happy with that (hasn't noticed the difference with it bypassing the DynAudio system just like I said she wouldn't!).

However, I've got double USB adaptor, low profile, in the front 12v socket. One cable routes to the Brodit. The other to the armrest cubby hole where the Bluetooth device needs power. I don't really want both running out of the front 12v socket so had hoped there was a rear socket I could hide the running of power from, through to the armrest storage.

But I can't find it....

In some models (V50/S40/C30) there is a 12v socket on the rear of the armrest but not all, its an option for rear seat passengers so probably not that common on c70s even though they are built on the same platform. It is possible however that if they use the same loom that the wiring is there for you to add a socket (simple plug in installation) under the centre console out of sight, but if you don't see a panel on the back of the armrest you will have to dig to get to the wiring. If there is a panel there it should just click out with some persuasion from some trim removal tools, and should give access to the wiring plug for the socket. If not then you will have to loosen the entire centre console and lift it up to see if the plug is there or not.

On my V50 I removed the rear socket and moved it to the front of the console (has plenty of wire!) where it supplies power for my Bluetooth module and my phone charger. I then added a USB port in place of the rear socket powered from the centre socket, which also has an AUX port for the kids in the back to plug into. Apologies for crappy picture.

On the C70 the centre console carries on into the back to between the rear seats, so there isn't a back face to the centre console as on the V50/S40/C30.
