Default Blackberry and Sensus - they seem to have fallen out!

Had my XC60 for two weeks now and I connected my Blackberry on day one without any problems. I have also connected the car to an older Nokia. A couple of days ago, I connected my wife's Nokia 6300 - again with no issues.

Yesterday, I tried to use the Blackberry and noticed it had not paired with the car. Switched the phone off and on again and all was ok. Today, the same thing - not paired. However, this time switching the phone off/on did not solve it. Now it will not pair at all - the car cannot see the phone at all...

Any ideas?

I have had this on a Blackberry 9700 when I the phone has been switched off when starting the car or the phone has been buried in my rucksack. I think that the XC60 bluetooth looks for the phone as soon as it starts and as it does not find it the scanning stops. The other issue is that the BB bluetooth seems to be very power efficient and it goes to sleep and the XC60 doesn't wake it up - the rucksack issue I think.

The solution on a non-sensus system is to press the phone button on the fascia, select the phone and connect - works everytime

I had problems attaching the wife's iPhone, instead of making the car see the phone, I made the car discoverable, at which point I could easily connect via the phone

I have had exactly the same problems my Blackberry 9700 it worked fine for about 2 weeks then it suddenly wouldn't connect .I when back to the dealer who checked the versions of the phone and car are both were fine ,they did advise that the Volvo is different to other manufactures where the car does the pairing and thats whey you make the car discoverable for 3 mins when pairing under settings .They got it to pair but again every time get back in the car I have to pair manually ,they said it's down to the phone settings as there's are no setting to connect automatically (I can only find trust setting on phone )

I have tried different setting but without any joy ,I have used the Blackberry 9700 on a number of cars and had no problems my wifes Nokia works fine and connects automatically

The car still searches for the Blackberry but won't connect until I select connect under Bluetooth options on the phone

It is now getting very annoying and would welcome new suggestions

Thanks for the replies.

I have managed to get my phone and car talking again.

Last night I re-booted the Blackberry by removing the battery. The reboot takes a few minutes.

This morning it connected perfectly but didn't transfer the contacts..

Next I made a change to the settings on my phone..

In the BT setup menu, bluetooth options, I selected the paired device "MY CAR" and edited the device properties. I set Encryption to "Disabled" (the other settings are - Trusted="Yes" and Echo Control = "Automatic".

This now seems to work perfectly. (At least for now).

By the way, concerning the automatic connection (on entering the car), mine works fine.

On the phone, in BT setup menu, bluetooth options, select "MY CAR" and then select options (using the blackberry key), I have - Discoverable = "yes", and connect on power up = "yes".

Hope that helps...
