Default VOC at the MG Owner's Club - 19th September

Apologies if this is duplicated somewhere but I couldn't see it.

Who's going to the MG Owner's club tomorrow? I'll be there in the S60 - trying out its new Polestar upgrade

Details of the event are here - https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/calen...=2021-9-19&c=1

Default Start Time

We seem to have some gremlins with the start times tomorrow - the magazine says 10.30am which is correct but we have it on the calendar at 9.00am and although we will try extremely hard I am not sure we will be set up by then.

Or to put another way! Arrival 10.30am onwards would be great!

Thanks

Chris

Linda and I are hoping to be there if the weather is at all favourable, 'js90'. We should be in our 'V' reg V70 - which we will definitely not be showing (unless there is a class for 'shed of the day'! ).

We both enjoyed Uttoxeter earlier in the year - so let's hope Swavesey is as well supported.

Regards, John.

Well I managed about two and a half hours before my anemia said time to go home for a snooze

Luckily for me home was under half an hour away from Swaversey as the 960 flies and I was home tucked up with my tablets and a hobnob in no time!

Great to meet everyone sorry I got no names apart from Chris who I helped with directions, and who had the car I thought was #1

Anyhow here's some of the cars (sorry if I missed yours); I hope everyone enjoyed themselves?

Linda and I were there. It was touch and go whether we attended as it was bucketing it down when we set off and for much of our journey down the M1 and A14. Thankfully it was fine when we got there and for much of the time we were there.

Because there were relatively few in attendance, a decision was taken to finish early so we skipped lunch and had a look round before the prize giving and drawing the raffle. Instead, we had our picnic on the way home by Rutland Water.

It was a shame that there were not more people present, but that does not in any way detract from the effort put in by the organisers who deserve a big vote of thanks for all that they do on our behalf. Thanks are also due to our hosts, the MG Owners' Club. Their people were very welcoming and helpful, and the venue is superb.

Another good day out, and the most miles (172) that the V70 has covered in a day for quite some time!

Regards, John.

Thanks, 'js90'. Although you caught us nicely by the chip van chatting to Jakki, I see that you also very wisely overlooked our V70, which was parked on it's own at the far end of the line up, and which otherwise would undoubtedly have lowered the tone of the rest of the display!

Thanks again. Regards, John.

Sorry, I thought I got everyone! Didn't even notice that one right down the end.
