Exclamation RTI,Stereo and Parking sensor failure

Hi all,
Ive just got a 2003 xc90 with a fault the comes and goes . It knocks out the RTI ,the stereo and the parking sensors all simultaneously. Sometimes for a few seconds sometimes for hours.
The RTI isnt reading the disc either!
All systems are fine then they arent.
Is been diagnostic checked at a volvo dealer but they not sure, the suggested anything from a wiring loom to the disc not reading, the Sat nav screen needing replaced.
Any suggestions appreciated

Sounds like the ICM - Infotainment Control Modiule - Do a search, and break into the piggybank for about £1800...

Going to bite the bullet and pay a Volvo dealer who has a Master tech to do a diagnostic and if it aint a simple repair/wiring loose then I 'll get him to take it out and send it toBBA-remain for repair at approx 100 to 150 plus postage. will update thread when i know more
Cheers

Well, the master tech says new ECM Surprise surprise) but the price quoted was reduced to £950 inc vat and fitting with 12months warranty. Ive decided to go for it as the removal, posting , repair and refitting will cost around £400-500 with no warranty.

£950 inc vat for a new ICM is a good price - does that include software etc, as I seem to remember that added a couple of hundred to the cost of mine...

just out of interest, we you able to upgrade it to iphone docking capability? I'm probably going to have to replace mine so would be handy to have the connectivity.
