Yeah. I can't work this out either.... as they are £10.92 EACH on their website.....???
I could do with some for mine, but won't have the genuine VOLVO ones again, because they just don't seem heavy duty enough for the job. Or are THEY being 'Made in China' now.....which would probably explain it. Someone said a while ago that ones from MONDEO'S fit.....anyone know if they do/or not, but more to the point, are they any good? Fed up gettting a bang on the head every time I load the dog!

Apparently facelifted Mark 1 Mondeo hatch ones do the job - even part-worn ones are supposed to be better than new Volvo ones.

Tailgate Strut Replacement
Hi,just read posts on new struts & I can confirm Mondeo struts are an excellent replacement. In fact initially they seems too strong but I had got so used to the old ones. I obtained the new ones locally (New Forest) from an e-bay source 'Jim's Little Shop' but being Ford available easily.Incidently, anyone expereienced new struts being over powerful & shearing off a lug?

I fitted a pair from a Mondeo that my grandaughter was scrapping, ended up retaining an original one since the two Mondeo ones were too strong.
