No problem buddy.I was quite tempted by an xm a while ago but was put off by an old xantia i had with dodgy hydraulics!!!!!Still love the shape of the old Citroen CX though.

Yep it went in the post this morning

i used to be a fully fledged citroen fan 5x bx's, 2x ax's, 1x xantia, 1x xsara coupe, 1x visa and so on. i got the xm as i wanted one since i was a kid when they were launched just the shape of them and the amazing suspension!

the xantia was it bouncing? you know alot of people write off their citroens when this happens it's £50 fix, just replace the sphere's contrary to popular belief there not that bad to fix either.

wish i had £550 i snap your arm off as a 960 would make great replacement for the xm (long story) but i'll hang for a bit.

Hi, yeah it was not only bouncing but the brakes would fail on start up(which was a bit scarey).
Thanks for the possitive note on the price so what i intend to do is give it a week and see if anyone wants to take the whole car. Apologies to all who have requested parts but if i can save this one then i will(i must be getting soft in my old age), if not then it will be broken

sounds like a failing pump (usually slow to rise) or accumulator sphere was failing (constant clicking from pump) this is quite common on xantia's as the pump was made of plastic this could be upgraded with the bx pump (progress for you).

i know this is a cliche but i could save it at the end of may i'll be all clear financially! but you might not want to hold it for that long (which i understand) that's the position i'm in. all the best.

Why don't you put it on ebay Minty.

It's complete and you say drives great - estates are fetching good money on the bay.

Bloody shame to break a sound car, especially when you could make just as much on ebay without the trouble of breaking either!

Or sell it to S Hammond - he won't let you down

Please be kind to an old Volvo; you know it makes sense . . .
