Default Free 360 Clutch Cable to Actuating Arm Link

Hi
I have just been given a new old stock piece of plastic which I have been assured goes between the end of the clutch cable and the actuating arm, it consists of a slot to hold the cable and a ring which fits on the arm (apparently), to me it looks a bit flimsy for this use but there you go. Free if you want it, I will pay the postage in the UK, otherwise you would need to fund the postage.
If you know what this is by the way please let me know if it is different to my description.
Cheers
Bob

Hi Bob,

Any chance you could take a picture of it...that way we could help identify it? It doesn't sound like the piece in question to me...that is a sort of dome shaped item, usually white plastic, with a hole through the middle. I could take a picture of one here if that would help.

cheers

James

From the description this is the piece which joins the cable to the end of the pedal .
I wouldnt use it , best place for it is the bin actualy .
later cars had the same thing but made of an alloy casting , the plastic ones break ! They are both interchangable ...

To be fair I did say it didn't really look up to the job, it may well be the cable to pedal connector as you say, still available if anyone wants it, 24hours and then as you suggest, in the bin.
Cheers

sorry no disrespect intended . it would certainly be worth keeping in the glovebox as a spare with a 10mm and 13mm spanner :-)

I'm pretty sure my 1981 343 has a plastic one, and I guess the two 1980 cars would, too.

I'll have it, Bob...I'll send you a PM!

cheers

James
