Default Wanted - Classic Volvo 200 Series

Hello

My name is Karl and I am the owner of KGF Classic Cars in Peterborough. I have a particular soft spot for classic Volvo's so if you have an immaculate example for sale please let me know.

Thank you

Hey Karl would be interested on your predictions on prices of these? The 260 GLE in manual is very rare. Less left than 262cs.
The GLT seems most popular probably due to availability and spec.

How do you find Practical classics price guide to be in accuracy?

BTW you have some stunning cars in stock I've seen them on Retrorides.
Welcome to VOC too.

Hello Darkslider

Thanks for your message and the compliments on our cars, we're very lucky to work with these machines! In my opinion the 200 series are firmly a modern classic car, even though many examples are still used as trustworthy daily drivers and workhorses! There will certainly be low money examples out there for quite some time to come, but low mileage and low owner cars with history and condition to match will command an inflated premium, particularly the rare models.

We find that the price guides in the classic car publications are often quite far off the mark to be honest!

Best regards.

Hello, thanks for your message. Your best route to getting an accurate valuation is to approach an owners club as nobody knows the cars better! You can also approach your classic car insurer for a valuation from their prospective. Another great source of information would be to look for similar cars on the internet, or perhaps see if any have been auctioned recently - you'll be amazed at what you can find out on the internet within half an hour!

Best of luck!
