What magic is this!!!!!!!

I only get up to about 35mpg on a run but do cruise at 70ish on the motorway.
2014 D5 auto as well.

Does running on bio fuel make a difference?

I calculate my mpg and the computer does over read but not massively. It’s not more than 3mpg out generally on mine.

If i do 70 it does drop down to an indicated 40.

I did a bit of reading on the accuracy of MPG meters in vehicles. It does appear for most that they do over read by an average of 5ish %.

the 44 MPG mentioned above was done twice on a long motorway run (both ways) on a very very rare occasion that I had diesel in the tank due to being away from home. I get less with biodiesel due to it having a lower cetane rating than diesel. Around 10% less is the commonly quoted figures used.
So to be more specific about my claim:
On dirty diesel I can see an indicated 44 mpg at 65 mph and on Biodiesel I can see 40 mpg.
Having an EGR/DPF delete and a re-map also gives a few more MPG too
