Default Volvo Ipod Kit glitch

I have a 2004 S60R, which i have recently have had fitted the Volvo Ipod adapter kit. The Ipod works fine, and does all it has to do. However, when you have returned to the car and start it up the Ipod wont play from where it left off. It displays the track that was playing at the time on the stereo display, and will even forward through the track numbers when you press the forward button, but nothing is heard. The Ipod itself displays the Volvo logo in its window, but the pause symbol can be seen in the top left hand corner. I have tried pushing everything to get it to work but no joy. The only way to solve it is to unplug the connector and plug it in again. Problem is is this then resets the track list, and your back to the begining. Its driving me mad! The Ipod is an 80gb one. The Ipod is working fine on its own.
Anyone any ides?

My Ipod kit does that as well but it is not all the time. Sometimes it will work straight away when the car is started! Not sure if the problem is within the ipod settings or the car.

I used to have a dension ice link plus in my BMW that I used with my Nano, anyway, sometimes I would have to switch the car off wait then start it again to get the ipod to be recognised.

Other times I read that if you have had your ipod connected to your computer make sure you right click it and eject the device before disconnecting. Lastly, I am not sure about others ipod, but with the nano you can reset it by pressing and holding the menu button then pressing the centre button and hold the two together. Eventually you will see the ipod reset itself. I think that this is for when you have not disconnected the ipod from the computer properly.

Black,

That is exactly the same. Sometimes its fine, then others it goes into this pause mode. I might try re-setting my Ipod. Have you tried this Black?
