Default Advice Needed: 206 V40 Petrol : Should I buy one?

Looking for a small-ish hatchback, but with enough grunt for the occasional motorway run. The V40 Petrol Autos seem lovely. Any comments on how reliable they are? I've seen some on AutoTrader for under 50k miles and in the £15k region.

I have an 08 Volvo V70 D5 with 105k on it and I love it to bits, though admittedly, it's needed odds and ends sorting out with the alarm and windows etc.

Any comments will be greatly appreciated. I usually keep my cars for about 5-7 years.

I was happy with my 2016 model year V40 petrol automatic, never had any major issues with it over 5 years and nearly 70,000 miles. I found the T2 122bhp engine was fine for day to day driving, most of my journeys are on rural roads and the car averaged around 40 mpg. If you want more power then the T3 has 150bhp. I have recently changed the car for a 2019 model year V40 Momentum petrol which I hope is as good.

If you are considering cars around £15k I would suggest you look at a 2017 model year onwards as they have the facelifted front end and Thors hammer LED lights.
