Does anyone else suffer from a 480 not starting due to the
Immobiliser? . After locking the car (which sets the alarm) I sometimes cannot restart the car as the immobiliser has not de-activated, I then have to get out the car re-lock it, leave it 30 seconds, close the door any try turning the ignition again which sometimes works ? Any Ideas? |

On my 440 you have to press the unlock on the remote to start the car if you stop for longer than a couple of seconds - What type of alarm / immobiliser do you have?

Mine has done this a time or two-most embarassing sitting there with the alarm going off!
I have found that you have to make sure that you turn the key in the door positively, as sometimes a quick "flick" will unlock the door, but not switch off the immobiliser. Hope this helps |

Thanks for the advise, I do not have a remote fob key for my 480, it just works off the key. I can turn off the alarm but the car still will not start, I will try not to flick the key and see if that works .
