Centre Console Drinks Holder

Hi, Anybody know how to get under the Centre Drinks Holder, the reason is because the lid will not open all the way so I need to find whats stopping it.
I just can't see how to get under it.

Hi Phil,

I explain here how I installed the Ipod unit, but also describes how to remove the cup holders.

I had the same problem and took it into the local Volvo garage and they fixed it for free even though well out of warranty. By all accounts it's a common problem due to poor design. I was told some are easy to fix but some need new parts.
