Hi from Geremany,

my V90 got a OEM SC-900...
but unfortunatly i have no Code for it.

My german Dealer says he needs the VIN of the car... but i dont know it because i bought the radio on a market ... at home i reconized that there is no code...

So, if anyone can help me
The serial of the Radio is

3533787-4969 9738

help with cr 905 code please - do i download a calculator ? is the serial number the big bar code on the radio casing ? does this take more than 5 minutes to work ?

Rang up directly to get the code for the radio.

Excellent service (Jeff i think it was? - terrible with names) and code received within 1 min of the call.

Please do not call us for radio codes, Bren it was actually myself that you spoke to (Simon) and I was able to deal with your request over the phone as I had somehow overlooked your original message but then did find it when I searched for it. We really do always ask everyone to send us an email for all radio codes.

Once again here is the information for anyone looking for a radio code:

I HAVE HEARD YOU CAN SUPPLY RADIO CODES?
Yes we do, and at no cost. We have supplied many radio codes free of charge to Volvo forum users over the years but there are some things we have to point out:

[1] We can only supply radio codes for UK vehicles.

[2] We only supply radio codes to people who email us, not over the phone. Please email frfvolvoparts@gmail.com and ignore the auto-reply you may receive. While our best efforts will be made to reply to you as quickly as possible it may take us up to 2 working days to reply.

[3] We will need your registration number and VIN Number in order to proceed. Please send these in your enquiry.

[4] If the code supplied does not work then it is likely that your radio has been replaced at some point in the past. This is not a problem but if this occurs please then take the radio out to find the following information (sometimes these codes may not be on a sticker, but etched into the metal body of the radio):
-Model Number: eg: SC-801
-Serial Number: eg: VO12345A1234567B, OR: M12345678
-Part Number: eg: 3533711

[5] If this second code does not work then it is likely the radio has been re-coded at some point and no Volvo dealer will be able to help, but this is very rare.

[6] Remember that some other Volvo dealers do charge for this service (some upwards of £30 per code) and we offer this service as an extension of the discounted parts supply scheme through the Volvo forums, and as a thank you for the continued support we receive from the forum members.

[7] We reserve the right to NOT supply a radio code if we so choose, at our discretion.

can you send me a code for a cr 905 radio in volvo 850. i see you recommend the serial number approach rather than downloading the diode calculator. alternatively would you give instructions how to use the diode calculator. presumably i have to take the radio to bits ?
