Default Aircon condensor, sensors and clamp bolt

So I've been trying to get my aircon sorted on my '97 940 estate. Did a pressure test and concluded a new condenser was needed.

So I managed to find a Nissen one fairly locally, thanks to another members post.

I've been soaking the bolt etc for a few days, but clearly galvanic corrosion has won.

....and I think I need to get some new sensors, as these look pretty nasty, and one of them broke when trying to undo it;

So - does anyone know if the Alu block thats attached to the A/C pipes, is that bit threaded, or is it just the Alu block thats on the condensor? In other works do you think it'll pry off, and the bolt will just be stuck in the damaged condensor, or if its threaded in both blocks, am I going to have a major job to remove?

Also, any recomendations to decent prices on those sensors? Rendcarparts (https://www.rendcarparts.com/en/volv...1=52&cat2=1206) has been really good to help identify which sensors are which, part numbers etc.

Any other general advice other than 'dont be a great oaf when undoing bolts' greatly appreciated.

The clamp isn't threaded so will need persuading off.

I've got a feeling the sensors are available on auto doc.

It's good the head of the bolt has snapped.

The thread is only on the condenser. The clamp has just a hole for the bolt. Should pull off with some plumbing water pump pliers. Give it a wiggle with pliers while pulling. Try not to damage or bend it as no longer available

The 2 AC pipes have O rings to seal. Sensors no idea, as re-used them.

Good luck with your 940 AC restoration.

Thanks both - I managed to get it off with some gentle heat and persuasion, and all is good. Got the new condenser in, it came with some o rings for the pipework, so just need to get the sensors and them fitted before I can re gass it. I'll probably change the accumulator too as apparently they get saturated it they're exposed to air for too long.

Good news the condenser is in.

New receiver dryer is a good thing. Also change the thermal expansion valve/ filter thing in the AC pipe from the bulkhead on the chassis rail. Accessible by undoing the join in the pipe.

The Part looks like this. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/334928644...Bk9SR-rbgoa1Yg Check engine code to be sure it's compatible.

Thanks James. Talking of dryers, my current one looks like this;

....but everywhere seems to have diagrams of them like this? My first assumption is that they're LHD ones, but do you think that the sensor will have enough give on the wiring to rotate round to the other side?
