Year 2000 S80 2.4 petrol auto for sale

Sadly, it’s time to part company with my lovely Volvo which I have owned for the last 9 years.

The Etm has just started to fail- it drives just fine but intermittently has a rough idle when hot- the sunroof has started to leak and somehow water has got into the courtesy light unit and damaged the central locking module. The SRS warning has also appeared on the dash, but I think this may be because the battery is low.

The car has 156k miles, the engine and gearbox are beautifully smooth and it’s a real shame to have to get rid of it. The first owner covered about 4k miles pa and the car went back to Volvo annually for a service- I have the stamped book (they owned it for 13 years). I then purchased it, and did 100k miles comprising a 150 mile drive from Nottingham to London once a week, so the whole 100k miles has been on the motorway.

I changed the oil and filter every 5k miles using fully synthetic oil, filled and flushed the gearbox at 70k and 140k miles, I replaced the fuel filter for the second time about 200 miles ago, and it also has new plugs and a new alternator within the last 500 miles. The cam and auxiliary belts and tensioners were changed using genuine Volvo parts at 110k miles.

This would make a great donor car, or project for someone able to fix the issues I’ve identified. I’m currently using and it’s taxed and MOT’d until mid January.

Offers for the whole thing, or bits of it?
