Well, after a quick look before i came to work, it looks like the cambelt is shredded

I'm not going to be able to have time for a better look till thursday morning, but it doesn't look good

I'll probably end up keeping the cupholder, i don't reckon i'll get back what it owes me lol

Sorry to hear tony, especially after the amount of money/time you've spent finding bits for it.

I know this is a bit fast and it's not even dead yet, but dibs on your parts if you break it?

I'm gutted to be honest, but such is life! It has been a cracking car and a lot of fun, but, with 190k on it, i knew it wouldn't last forever.
I reckon the water pump has siezed and then shredded the belt, i'll know more in a day or 2

If it's as bad as i think it is, it's getting broken, but probably won't be untill back end of next week when i start my 18 days off.

If anyone is interested in any parts, PM me and we can get a list going lol

Tony, grab another engine and fit that, better the car you know than starting again with another one, or if just the head is mangled swap that for a replacement there are plenty available with far lower mileage than what yours had on it - Mike

It has crossed my mind, but i've got a 78k mile 1.4 focus sat doing nothing at the minute, i can get that sorted and start getting some decent miles out of £20 lol

Just bought the car so:
Changed Air filter and salon filter. Actually i did it yesterday
Will be changing all belts, oil filter and oil, fuel filter, and maybe gearbox oil and rear shock absorbers.
just to be sure, because there is not much known when anything was changed

Polished mine yesterday, at long last.

Not a full polish, only one coat of Zaino Z2 over Zaino PC.

Photos on my thread later today.

Also, went to see World War Z last night in Aberdeen, but took the Ka, so I didn't get flies on the front of mine, lol!

Had most of the day on mine, yep, the engine is fooked
Water pump is seized, shredded the belt, god knows how many valves it's destroyed!!

On a more positive note, got hold of another engine for £100 125k on it, being dropped off at my mates garage tomorrow, old one already out, slot replacement in first thing tomorrow and bob's your uncle, should be back on the road tomorrow afternoon
