In the north west area Rybrook Warrington and Chester are still there for sales showrooms and parts counters, but for servicing and repairs in the Staffordshire and Cheshire area I have to recommend 'Swedish Car Care' at Stoke on Trent. The owner, Terry is ex-Volvo dealership trained with many years of experience and knowledge. He is contactable on 01782 594411. He is also sensible with his labour rate and parts pricing (genuine Volvo) he has all of the Volvo diagnostic equipment and is always very busy.

It appears that what used to be Richard Cort the Rover dealer in Bury, which now flogs American tat, is to become a Volvo Dealer. It's about 1/4 mile down the road from where the Volvo dealer was.

Hi Peter,

Just had my 2008 S80 D5 first service by Swedish Car Care at Stoke at 18k miles, £320 altogether and that included £110 for the proper Castrol/Volvo oil, labour was actually £150. A colleague has just had his XC90 done by a main dealer, same service, £495!!
Give Terry at SCC a try next time, you won't regret it.

Regards, Paul

Excelllent. Left the car in the morning and rode off to work, came back at 5.30pm as agreed. All work done and car left nice and tidy. Saved me pocket half of what Stratstone's in Bury were going to fleece me for.
Will be using Howard again for certain.

Recommended Howard to another OvloV owner I know locally and he has also come back with good report and similar savings.

I've now got a rear spoiler on it's way from FRF / Simon and Howard will be spraying it to match the car in the next couple of weeks.
