What bulbs are the main rear lights, do you know off hand?

so i have brought a hid decoder off ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWNX:IT

I took a look at relay harnesses after you mentioned you have one.
Should the HID's be powered directly from the battery, yes a great idea but not essential.
More importantly you should provide a unique non-shared earth to prevent the wiper motor burning out.

HID Error cancellers are just what you are looking for.
They'll fix any bulb out warnings and they delay the startup voltage slightly so the HIDS power up correctly.

Cancellers are installed between the power supply and the ballast.

Hi mate thanks for reply. Tried fitting the light again earlier. This time the lights all stayed on when engine was running but the relay harness just kept on ticking. I guess it was turning itself on and off realy quickly. So way could that be. I had the relay harness connected to the devotees then to the ballasts. 1 guy said it might be faulty ballasts. Graham

Let me give you some advice.

DO NOT install HIDs into this car unless they are grounded seperately from anything else and have proven error cancellers.

My HID kit died on me last winter 60 miles from my house when I was leaving work in the pitch black and ****ing rain.

I had to walk to a local garage, buy some cheap crap emergency H7 halogen bulbs and swap the whole lot over in torrential rain on a cold dark night.

Sorry to resurrect this old thread, but I need to ask:

Any problems with the HIDs in the past years? Changing the ground wiring solves the problems?

Thanks!
