Your integrated changer will be unaffected - the HU850 has two sockets on the back, one for the under seat amp, and another for e.g. a boot mounted 10-disc changer - it plugs into this one, and you select that input to listen.

For the price it's a brilliant addition.

Absolutely brilliant - thanks so much for the help, much appreciated. I’ll order one today I think! Thanks again.

Hi guys, I was going to get the model with the microphone attached, but it seems to have disappeared in the past week.

Am I right in thinking that if you get the model without the added microphone you use the phone's microphone to speak to callers via bluetooth, and it remains controllable from the steering wheel buttons?

So a question for the wise.

I have a CD that is stuck in the player. Cannot find a way to remove it.

Does this gizmo rely on the CD setting to operate? I am thinking that if it does, then unless I can remove the CD then this would not operate.

If you mean it's stuck in the head unit, then you will be fine because the adaptor plugs to the aux input.

TBH I've never used mine for calls, but this is how I'd assume it works.

Android auto? Can I assume that it works with iPhone too. Forgive my daft question, I'm only an IT trainer.

Just to say thanks for your help in this thread chaps - just fitted it and it's great. Sound quality is perfect and so easy to fit as well, even with an automatic where it's hard to get the gear lever out of the way and switch the engine off. If anyone else has a similar problem, I just popped the gear stick fascia off from the actual lever which means you can access really easily.

Thanks again all - I can't believe I haven't done this sooner.

With the fascia off and key out of ignition, you can press a white lever underneath and it frees up the gear selector.

Battery disconnect advised if messing about with Aircon panel to avoid SRS fault. Or just be careful and swivel panel out of way to one side while still connected

Apologies if all of that already mentioned above

Will swap the devices and report if that made any difference.
Just wondering if this resolved your issue as I'm unable to take calls through mine as well - everything else comes through, just not calls which is a bit annoying! Anyone else had this issue? I don't really need a mic to try and route round the car but if that's the only way I can have calls going through then I guess I'll have to.
