I have been keeping an eye on this, I would be interested in the battery, but I assume the postage will be extremely high?

Is the thermostat a genuine volvo one?

P.S. Did you ever get to the bottom of the poor mpg, best I managed to get out of mine has been 37mpg on a tank back in October after 9 months effort I broke the magic 36mpg in Sept, but the winter tyres are on now and I have been making use oof the lovely heated seats back down to 33mpg at mom.

Can look into postage, gatos has given me the names of some companies that have decent postage rates. The thermostat is genuine Volvo, assuming the one that was in the car from new.

Never got to the bottom of the poor mpg. There was yet another gearbox rpm sensor I could have replaced as well as ultrasonic cleaning on the injectors I could have tried.


ps, battery has been routinely put on charge but I will whack it back on charge and test it just in case you do want to buy it.

Just had a quick look and reckon postage can be done for about £10. If you want I'll weigh it and get an exact price. Will throw the thermostat in FOC in you buy the battery.

hi mate,
are the HT leads the bits that go on top of the spark plugs? just found a hairline crack on one of mine. how much would you like for them? also if the thermostat hasnt gone yet i might be needing that as well

Pic of the HT leads and coils. Cost new is about £120 IIRC, willing to sell them for £30.



Would ask £5 for the thermostat if mcouchard doesn't want it, hes not been on since boxing day though so would like to give him till at least the end of the week. Will PM him as well.
