I'll certainly have a look at admiral. Paying approx £450 now but was getting quotes from a few companies of £850+! Just remembered that I've my old car insured with Hastings on a multi car policy(they mirrorered my no claims) therefore of if I get polestar and change insurers I'm causing myself problems with my second car. So frustrating indeed. I'm like a dog with a bone with polestar. Only read positive comments about it. I may just get it and keep shtum about it. Its not as if anyone can tell is it?

I've just checked my insurance policy with Admiral on a multi car.
The XC 60 is £216.81. @ 8000 miles per annum.
The Peugeot is £247.21 @ 3000 miles per annum
@ £464.01 combined.

Well no, not visually, but car insurance is not something I'd risk giving the insurer an excuse not to pay out in the event of a big claim.

I know and I agree really its just a little frustrating because I want the polestar but will end up with major insurance headaches especially with all the silly alteration/cancellation charges. I may have to wait until next year now as I've only taken my policy out in March then changed to my new car in mid April. Just unfortunate timing for me.

I'm happy to stick with Direct Line where possible, no charge for alterations.
Just had my renewal in and mines up a few quid but my Lads 330 CiSport gets cheaper every year. Massive multicar savings..

Direct Line have never, ever given me a competitive quote. Car insurance is a massive ponzi scheme and I absolutely dread having to sort it out each year.

That's a shame, they have been competitive for me, for a number of years for both my XC90 and XC60, my current XC60 is under £200 a year. MOst other companies are no-where near.

Ditto Zurich.

Polestar worth every penny (D4 FWD). Should go down to around the £650 mark now too, they reduce the cost once the model becomes obsolete.
