Don’t know how I haven’t got any better pics but this is the best pic and that’s the extent of the rust.

I've seen them on later models so think Volvo started adding them at some point. My 66 estate didn't get them.

Yes, i saw that...your estate had the ribbed panels. I think you are right they changed from ribbed to flat with strengthening plate. My 2door is '68. Cant remember if my 122s had them or not.

I never noticed the ribbed pressing was missing, will need to have a gander tomorrow. I added a strengthening plate to my estate in the ribbed area.

Stripped the fuel tank and epoxy primed it. I also reduced the pressing wrinkles in the ends with my shrinking disc, still no where near perfect but a little better than when it came from the factory. It was more of a play around and a bit of learning to see if it would work. Think I might use my big 2.5mm primer gun to spray the whole tank with Raptor before overcoating it with polyurethane 2k black topcoat.

The 2k is the topcoat to colour the raptor and give it a bit of a glossy finish. You can get tintable raptor that you would just apply over the epoxy primer, but it doesn't cover that well and I prefer just to topcoat it and it looks better as well.
