Regarding the manager words, can this be obtained in writing somehow? Or you know managers' name? I'd like to call him and ask, so I will tell my local dealer about his discovery. They laughed at me last time, maybe they will not laugh now, if I come with case details at hand, and manager's name or telephone number.
I'm confident if you speak to the guy he'd be happy to have a chat with your local dealer and explain.

The dealer is: Volvo Stoneacre at Chesterfield.

The service guys name is: Jozef Secker.

The service department number as per the website is: 01405 310142, however that's not actually a direct number and annoyingly they all now go to the central office, or oddly, sometimes that number ends up going directly to one of the other dealers either side of Volvo, so when you ring up, first thing is to make sure/ask to be put through to the Volvo service department (unless you want to discuss the issue with Kia )

So my wife filled up at the weekend and apparently it still chucked some fuel out of the filler mechanism.

I'm going to fill it up myself in the next couple of days and see how bad it is, and if it's clearly not right, it's going back in.

It's now also got faults with the electric boot struts and the keyless entry as well. And I've found charging issues with the car/app. Really not impressed for a car of this money and makes me realise it doesn't make a jot of difference which manufacturer you go for. I might as well ask the Kia garage to quote me for a brand new top of the range car when I ring up the supposed Volvo telephone number . . .

Over the past few weeks I have had real difficulties fuelling the car with the pump cutting out every few seconds and the occasional fuel coming back up out the filler neck.

This has happened at several different locations using different pumps.

I have booked it into the dealer for mid-January for them to have a look at it.

Get ready for a new fuel tank! What model and year have you got?

I filled up yesterday and experienced no fuel coming out, so maybe the wife pulled the nozzle out and had a few drips.

The fuel issue is now bottom of the priority pile, the car has that many faults that I'm now looking to get rid of it as it's clearly a Friday lemon job.

From my experience, so long as you can replicate the issue, or the technician can, you'll be fine as Volvo clearly know it's an issue.

Just be very exactly when explaining how the fault occurs to the service department/technicians, i.e. explain you've got to actually fill up completely and wait rather than just chuck £10 in and assume all is fine!

If you need more ammo, you could always contact my dealer like others have on here. See my post November 8th 2023 @ 16:32 for the info.

Had the car in at the dealership earlier this week to have a look at this issue.

Apparently there was air in the system and having 'rodded' the neck of the tank and put some fuel in it, the issues was resolved.

First fill up after this......the pump is still cutting our every few litres and fuel is still coming back up out the tank.

With it being more of an annoyance rather than a major issue, I will leave it until the next service for them to try again.

One benefit of the car being in, is that they noticed the 400v auxiliary heater wasn't working, so this was replaced under warranty.

What car have you got @P100HP as I thought all the modern ones had the HV heater like yours, however our T8 PHEV has the fuel-fired heater instead. I'm sure somebody on here knows which models got which variant and why . . .

Like yours, ours has also failed and requires replacement, and it can't get installed soon enough with all this crap weather we're having.
