it's quite a coincidence actually, the one i just purchased is VERY similar to yours, its a 1988 740 2.0 manual with blue velour interior and in white! oh and it's also a "GL" i'm sure whoever the new owner is will enjoy it very much Cheers, Matt |

I'll be watching Retro Rides sales section to see what they market it for. Lets hope whoever the new owner is appreciates what they have.

744s.
Always good to hear enthusiasm for the much underrated and unappreciated 700series, here's a pic of one of mine; 1986 on a C plate 744GL, one owner before me and only 62k from new.
No doubt KGF underbid for the OPs car, and we'll no doubt see it soon on the Cars and Classic website at a premium - watch out for KGFs overlong, and often inaccurate descriptions! Jon. |

but the pre facelift 700 shape can't be beaten in my oppinion it is the most iconic "brick" volvo in my eyes! I didn't know white was such a popular color too, lol! |

If you go on KGF twitter page you'll see a side by side photo of my fathers 740 and a 164E.
