One thing I have been remiss in not stating is that originally the DEFRA certificate required members to be also members of the Camping and Caravan section (at an extra £3.00 annually).
Since the Board of Directors has taken over the administration of the C&C section all paid up members are automatically members of the C&C section at no extra cost. Got to get the details right. Mollusk. |

Oh! and something else that has to be said - a number of commercial traders will, it is hoped, be attending the BKV.
"Their attendance in no way implies endorsement of any of their products or services by the Volvo Owners Club or any of it's officials" |

Well my friend from Caversham, having been a member for so long you might well have come to the thames Valley meetings at Langley, if so hi.
No one has suggested it but what about the best kept caravan outfit, provided of course it is a fully paid up member, bet some of the car only entries couldn't back an outfit into a small space. I am not being funny, but it might add to the enjoyment of the day. I appreciate people who produce old cars in outstanding condition, but it should stipulate the car arrived from wherever under it's own steam. I know a guy with a Morris million who tows it everywhere behind a motorhome, so it looks spotless. Does not matter what you do there are those who must win at all cost's, then the non-member's, come on lad's what about day tickets to enter, money to charity, what is it about 75pence, we are not all rich volvo owner's. Do i go to meetings, nope, no one actually speaks to me. Disabled folks should not get worked up, I qualify for a badge but do not apply, we could flog second hand crutches just in case some of the fit ones might need them. Right have a nice day, Ted ex Thames Valley now proud to be Irish, pity about the football. |

Sorry about this and non members but we have already a precedent, at Stanford Hall 1975, we arranged for Golden miller the coaching company of renown around Staines and such places to bring along the latest volvo coach they had and Dawson's truck rental company their latest truck, now the coach held employee's friends etc of golden Miller, we didn't ask the driver for an entrance fee and to cap it all we gave them a volvo Owners Club badge to mark the occasion.
Perhaps we could say it was an oversight not charging? Gosh the sun is shining what a lovely day, bye Ted No there was no payment, except the pleasure we get from owning a Volvo, not everything is done for money. |
